On August 4, 2004, Marty and I were working another program that required a $500.00 entry fee. We were calling people on the telephone all day long. We could get people to join the program, but in our heart we knew that 99% of them would not be able to do what we were doing. When Marty received the email with the Red Ferrari presentation, he asked me to watch it, and I thought NO, not another one.
Anyway, halfway through the presentation, I looked at Marty and said, I will never, call another person to get them into a program that costs more than ten dollars a month. I knew my prayers were answered, and that I would be sleeping a lot better. I also knew that if people came into GDI and they didn't make it work, they wouldn't lose much money. Even if they stayed with it for a year and didn't do anything, it would only cost them $120.00.
Even better, they would get far more value for their $10 than they would in any other program. Ten days later, we had 73 people on our team, and we did it just by sending out the Red Ferrari movie. We knew that if we sent out more invitations, we would get more sign ups. Marty and I were jumping up and down with joy.
We knew we had finally found something that made sense and would work for the average person who wanted to build a home business. My story was that I had been trying to build a networking business for 32 years. As a single mom I was a waitress, and worked at a MLM business just as hard as my day job. This industry has taken 3 homes, a bankruptcy, foreclosures, sorrow, frustration, disappointment, and several broken engagements.
The most heartbreaking thing of all, was that my dad thought I was a fool to lose everything I worked so hard for, because of network marketing. My dream was that someday I would prove to him that the concept of “people helping people” meant everything to me. I also wanted my dad to know that you have to believe it before you can see it.
He passed away several months ago, during his last days I sat with him, crying most of the time. As I sat with him I told him that I had joined another home-based business and I truly believed this was the one. He never answered back, because he could no longer talk, but in my heart, I believe he said, this time I will help you. I believe he is helping me now.
Marty’s story isn't much different. He was married for eighteen years and his ex-wife didn’t much care for his continuous attempts to succeed in network marketing. He also believed in it, but didn't get much family support.
Marty and I met on the phone with another program, he was my upline and after hearing his story, I knew I had met another dreamer, and one of my prayers was answered. I flew to Florida to meet him, and we drove back to California to start our lives together. We are totally committed to GDI and believe that our dream of financial freedom is very close. After seven months in GDI we are making over $5,000 per month, and we know that this is just the beginning. We are thrilled that so many people joining us, are also making a significant monthly income.
We have all heard stories of people who struck out many times before they reached success. When you strive for more, realize from the start that you are going to have obstacles to overcome. It is believing, and never giving up, that will enable you to reach your dreams. Marty and I wish that each and every one of you will believe that you can have everything in life you want…. if you believe, and most importantly, make a commitment, take action, focus, and never give up.
There are going to be many millionaires who come out of GDI, and you, Marty and I will be among them. We hope that you will join our crusade to FREE people from poverty and the plague that keeps mankind from believing in themselves. We can make this world a better place, where people help each other and prosper together.
